What is MITSUBISHI FUSO Fighter?

Fighter is a middle-duty truck manufactured by Mitsubishi Fuso since 1984. The meaning of the name [Fighter] is not officially published, but it is easy to imagine the name comes from [warrior], [soldier] or [samurai]. The size range of Fighter is around 4 tons. This particular model's usage is similar to that of heavy-duty trucks.

The model was fully-redesigned in 1992, and has gone through minor changes twice to date. The cabin design was altered to become more round in the recent model, while the side-window stays the same since the 2nd generation model. In 1999, minor changes for the 2nd generation was done and was introduced as 'New Fighter'.

In 2005, minor changes for the 2nd time was done. By equipping INOMAT, a gear system similar to Isuzu smoother, the model was shown off as the 'Best One Fighter'. This second generation Fighter is the current model. The development is continued up to date by loading efficient, high-powered engines in 240ps or 270ps such as 6M60, as well as the reduction of the gas emission.
